WHAT DO STANDBY (ESP)/ PRIME (PRP)/ CONTINOUS(COP)/ DCP MEAN?

These concepts define in which category the generator will work. Generator power ratings according to international ISO 8528-1 (this standard has been accepted as TS ISO 8528 in Turkey) are defined as follows:

 Emergency Standby Power (ESP):

  • It is used for variable loads in case of mains failure.
  •  Load factor: 70% (Cannot be overloaded.)
  •  Annual working time: 200 hours.
  •  Application Areas: Places in need of backup power such as business centers, hotels, hospitals, mass housing, recreational facilities, factories.

Prime Rated Power (PRP):

  • It is the maximum power obtained from the generator set for variable load in an unlimited time period.
  •  Load factor: 70% (overload 10% for 1 hour at 12 hour intervals).
  •  Annual uptime: Unlimited.
  •  Field of Application: Industrial and commercial facilities, heavy construction industry, cogeneration applications, rental and marine generators.

Continuous Operation Power (COP):

  • It is the power value that the generator set can give under continuous load in an unlimited time period.
  •  Load factor: 100%
  •  Field of Application: Where the Mains does not exist at all.

 Data Center Power (DCP):

  •  It is the power value that the generator set can give under continuous load in a limited or non-limited time period.
  •  Annual uptime: Unlimited.
  •  Application Area: In data centers.

Genpower Jeneratör has generators that meet all power ratings and international standards to suit your needs.
